The creative director of Ludlow6 Communication Design, James Wawrzewski manages the development and production of print communications for various organizations. To complement his professional work, James Wawrzewski is a member of AIGA, the professional association for design.
Every year, AIGA hosts a design conference that brings together graphic designers from across the country to network, share insights, and learn about ground-breaking developments in the profession. The 2019 AIGA Design Conference will be held from April 4–6 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California. On the first day of the conference, attendees will register, after which a general session will be held to kick off the gathering. Later on, attendees will come together for an open night reception and film.
On the second day of the conference, attendees will have breakfast between 7:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Breakfast will coincide with morning workshops and design fair roundtables, after which conferees can attend various symposia covering topics such as digital craft, design education, In-House, and business. Lunch will start at noon and will be held alongside portfolio reviews and another design fair roundtable. The afternoon will feature a general presentation session. The schedule for April 6 will be the same as that of April 5 with the addition of a design-type quiz over lunch hour, an awards show in the evening, and a closing night party.
Speakers at the conference include renowned designers, artists, and entrepreneurs. The conference host will be Roman Mars, creator of the popular 99% Invisible design podcast.
